Mareija Eskelinen is a local Port Moody artist who's paintings are often inspired by the lush scenery of Vancouver and the West Coast of Canada.

^{The beauty of nature is tremendous, magnificent and transient – ever changing as the earth turns, the light shifts and the seasons ebb and flow. When I sit down to create I am often inspired by one moment when the world felt exceptionally brilliant: a play of sunlight on water, a misty ridge at dawn, or the quiet hush beneath ancient trees.}
